  • SAFECOM Nationwide Survey

    The Department of Homeland Security, Office of Emergency Communications (OEC) will be conducting an information Webinar on the SAFECOM Nationwide Survey (SNS). The Webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 3:00 – 4:00 pm EST.

    Funding decisions to support critical public safety requirements depend on valid information that reflects the needs of the community. The SAFECOM Nationwide Survey (SNS) is a public safety survey that will provide valuable information regarding our nation’s emergency communications capabilities. The results from the survey will drive funding decisions and improvements for our nation’s emergency communications capabilities. The SNS is an opportunity for public safety’s voice to be heard!
    The SNS is now live and can be accessed from the SAFECOM Website or copy and paste the following web address into your browser: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2018SNS. Public safety agencies and departments (e.g., law enforcement, fire, emergency medical services (EMS), 9-1-1 call centers/public safety answering point (PSAP), emergency management agencies (EMA), and public safety NGOs) are encouraged to complete the Survey.
    To maximize our outreach, we are requesting your assistance with performing the following actions: publish an online article, send email(s), post on your social media platforms, etc. SAFECOM and OEC are in the process of heavily publicizing the Survey. With that in mind, we’ll have customized content for you to distribute to your Members and to public safety stakeholders throughout your State and region. These materials will be provided to you following the Webinar. Our staff is happy and available to work with you to get the word out about the survey.
