  • APCO International Announces New Executive Placement Service

Today the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International announced APCO Executive Search, a comprehensive service that recruits top-tier leaders to take emergency communications centers to the next level of performance.

“We recognized that there was a need within public safety communications for high-level executive placement services,” said Derek K. Poarch, Executive Director and CEO of APCO International. “To fill this void, we developed APCO Executive Search, which uses our industry expertise and connections in emergency communications to link agencies with vetted and experienced candidates.”

Using a multi-step approach, the Executive Search team works with client agencies to develop executive profiles, conducts an extensive search for suitable candidates and screens for those that best match agency requirements. Based on the screening results, top candidates are chosen and their profiles are presented for the final interview process.

APCO is pleased to introduce Tiffany McCarty as the Executive Search Manager who brings 25 years of experience in conducting executive-level searches for associations, private industry and government agencies. Tiffany was chosen for her ability to strategically match the tactical needs of a position and the organization’s culture to candidates.

In conjunction, APCO announced its Resume Review service, which complements the Executive Search by providing one-on-one interview coaching and resume review to those looking to move ahead in public safety communications positions.
